Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Random Pick Wheel (https://randompickwheel.com) collects, why, and what choices you have. In plain terms: the wheel itself works without collecting anything about you, and we never receive the lists you type.

1. Who we are

Random Pick Wheel is an independent web tool for spinning a random-picker wheel. For any privacy question, contact Randompickwheel@gmail.com.

2. Information stored on your device

When you use the wheel, your browser saves the following in localStorage on your device so your setup persists between visits:

• the entries currently on your wheel and its title;
• your option choices (colour theme, spin length, sound, confetti, “remove winner”);
• your recent results history for that wheel;
• your dark/light theme preference;
• your response to the cookie notice, if one is shown.

This data stays in your browser. It is not transmitted to us or anyone else. You can delete it at any time with the Reset button on the wheel, or by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.

3. Share links

When you click Copy share link, the wheel's entries and title are encoded into the link itself (the part after ?w=). Anyone you send that link to can read those entries. Do not put private or sensitive information into a wheel you intend to share.

4. Information we collect automatically

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) for security and to diagnose problems. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors and are retained only for a short period.

5. Analytics (not currently active)

This site does not currently load any analytics scripts. If that changes, this section will be updated and a cookie notice will ask for your consent first.

6. Advertising (not currently active)

This site does not currently display third-party ads and loads no advertising scripts. If advertising is added, this section will describe the provider (Google AdSense) and your opt-out options, and EEA/UK visitors will be asked for consent first.

7. Cookies

Random Pick Wheel sets no cookies of its own. The only browser storage we use is the localStorage described in section 2, which is essential to the tool working as expected. Third-party cookies are only ever set by Google if the analytics or advertising features above are active and you have consented where consent is required.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold almost nothing — the wheel data never leaves your device — most requests can be satisfied by you clearing your browser storage. For anything else, email Randompickwheel@gmail.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Children

Random Pick Wheel is a general-audience tool and is often used in classrooms. It does not ask for names, accounts or any personal details, and it is not directed at children under 13 for the purpose of collecting their data.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes — for example turning on advertising — will be reflected in the relevant section before the change takes effect.
