Truth or Dare Wheel
A truth or dare wheel for parties and game nights. Spin to land on truth, dare, double dare or skip.
Take the choosing out of truth or dare
Half the fun of truth or dare is not getting to pick. Letting players choose “truth” every time gets dull fast. A truth or dare wheel forces the outcome, keeps the game moving, and settles any “that’s not fair” arguments because everyone spins the same wheel.
The default wheel has Truth, Dare, a rare Double dare, and a Skip (lose a point) for anyone who really wants out.
How to play
- Player spins the wheel.
- The group gives them a prompt matching the result — a question for truth, a challenge for dare.
- Complete it, or take the Skip if it is on the wheel and you are keeping score.
- Pass to the next player.
Tune the wheel to your group
- Kid-friendly / classroom: remove Double dare, keep Skip, and agree that dares stay tame.
- Party mode: add extra Dare segments, drop the Skip.
- Pure chance: one Truth, one Dare, nothing else.
- Team version: pair this with the team generator and let teams take turns.
Keep it comfortable
Set boundaries before the first spin: no prompts that embarrass someone, expose a secret they would not share, or involve anything unsafe. A “pass without penalty” option is worth keeping for anyone who needs it. The wheel adds randomness; it should not add pressure to do something a player is not OK with.
Frequently asked questions
Does the wheel come with truth and dare prompts?
This wheel decides truth vs dare. Keep your prompts on cards or a phone list — that way you can tailor them to the group and the setting.
How do we keep it fair?
Everyone spins the same wheel. If you want a pure 50/50, cut the entries down to one "Truth" and one "Dare".
Can we make dares rarer?
Yes. Add more "Truth" segments than "Dare" segments. Three truths to one dare makes dares roughly a one-in-four outcome.
